Right before Christmas a guy dropped this 5 string Peavey Grind bass and snapped the peghead off. I glued the 2 pieces back together, and then touched up the finish. Clear on the back and sides. Then I laminated a mahogany veneer on the peghead face to cover up the ugly, and finished it in amber. When complete, I lowered the action all the way (it's still a little high), but it's better than it was. Plays great, but still sounds like a Peavey. I can't fix THAT. https://imgur.com/9LdxoZH https://imgur.com/m5oMaUD https://imgur.com/ZtClYVp https://imgur.com/VkQQx5N |

Thanks, Brian. I just posted some pix so folks would know I'm still working. |

That's a nice repair Chris. Just finished level/crown/polish on two Peavey's, most uneven factory frets I've seen in a while. |

If that were my bass I'd be very happy with that repair. Nice work sir. There is a way to make those Peavey's sound good, it's a really old tool called a chainsaw. |
